Chicken Satay with Spinach.

This chicken satay purchased at Pak Udin satay stalls on the edge of the highway near my house, satay is burned on charcoal flavored with nuts paste. I ate it with boiled spinach and a few extra sprouts.

Nasi Uduk with Salad

To break the fast I eat Nasi Uduk with salad, unlike usual Nasi Uduk that served with Lalapan and Sambal (Chili paste), this Nasi Uduk served with salad and mayonnaise and fried potatos, with peanut sauce and sliced omelet as addition. Salad which I mean here is a western-style salad, although Lalapan also can be categorized as salad, more precisely Indonesian-style salad. Nasi Uduk is steamed rice cooked with coconut milk and other seasoning, and Lalapan is raw vegetable salad served with Sambal (chili paste).

Bakso and Unskewered Satay

Today is the first day of fasting, so I ate just before dawn, called "Sahur." Today's menu is a Bakso and Unskewered Satay, Bakso is meatballs with broth, and the satay is slices of chicken meat that roasted with skillet, different from usual skewered satay that grilled over the coals, served with soy sauce mixed with chili and red onions. Happy fasting for those who do it
